The search for the perfect bridesmaids dress it seems can often be even more of a challenge than finding THE wedding dress. Finding a style that is both affordable and fashionable, cute and wearable, plus of course liked by both bridesmaids and bride, seems to be the ‘holy grail’ of weddings! So, over the coming weeks CVB will post on some of the biggest bridesmaids trends – ivory, black, patterned, pastel and Spring 2013 fashion colours. Cute, chic, fashionable (with a vintage edge) and budget friendly bridesmaids dresses in every imaginable colour, length and style – there will be something to suit every wedding, bridesmaid and purse!
First off, the oh so versatile and timeless Little Black Dress!
Blacks bridesmaids dresses can be chic, rustic, retro, kooky, super sweet and flatter just about every colouring. I was bridesmaids three times (yes I know, I was starting to worry about that little superstitious old wives tale, until Mr E came along) in lavender, peach and plum – not the best for a redhead! Why oh why couldn’t I have worn a dress like one of these?…..

Or for a more formal wedding how about something elegantly full length…..
Some more Audrey Hepburn inspired designs, the next few dresses have a cool Breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe!

Or with a peplum this full length gown also from Alfred Sung on Dessy
If black isn’t for you though, keep watching because I have posts planned on the key Fashion Colours for Spring 2013 highlighted by Pantone – lush Emerald, soft Linen, bright Poppy Red, summery Lemon Zest, gorgeous Greyed Jade, vibrant Violet and Monaco Blue, as well as pretty pastels and ivory.
