It has been some 15 months since the wedding and the dress that undoubtedly inspired it and over 7 months since my first post dedicated to bridal dresses with long sleeves. Yet it seems to be a trend that is only growing in popularity, with brides and designers alike – and I for one am over the moon! The 2013 Bridal collections are awash with long sleeved beauties, all creating the most sleek and elegant silhouettes.
Monique Lhuillier’s 2013 Bridal Collection is the place to go if you’re looking for lovely lace sleeves, with luxurious textures and modern shapes….
Marchesa’a Spring 2013 Bridal Collection featured a royal match made in heaven – this design is the perfect combination of Princess Diana’s and Katherine Middleton’s beautiful gowns…… I ¦ it!
Reem Acra’s illusion neckline and detailing give a traditional dress a modern twist…..
Elizabeth Fillmore proves pretty doesn’t necessarily have to be fancy with this sleek (so Joan Crawford!) design…..
The wonderful Claire Pettibone’s 2013 Collection strikes the perfect balance between vintage and bohemian….
Jesus Peiro has long been a favourite of mine and this simply elegant design cut to perfection epitomises JP……
Whilst with this elaborately embellished design is a definite break from the norm for JP but proves she can do elaborate and elegant!….
Pronovias specialises in full skirted bridal gowns, fit for a princess and has topped them off this season with barely there delicate sleeves…..
And their collection by Manuel Mota features two of my favourite long sleeved designs from the 2013 collections. The high necked Gabon evokes memories of Grace Kelly….
Whilst the beautiful back on Ganges reminded me straight away of the Carolina Herrera design wore by (dare I say it) Bella Swan in Breaking Dawn…..
For something a little less traditionally bridal but equally breathtaking you can always rely on Marchesa Resort, who’s 2013 collection featured these three beauties….
The loose sleeves on this dress give the otherwise formal shape a more bohemian, beach feel – whilst the shoulder detail gives it that touch of glitz and glamour….
Or, if you’re happy to go with Silver rather than white, this dress is absolutely stunning!
What do you think? Are you still loving the long sleeves trend as much as I am?? Anyone planning on wearing a long sleeved wedding dress?
