Lace and embellished tulle are definitely dominating the new wedding dresses for 2013 at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and at Christos Bridal, the delicate overlays were shown on pretty nearly every dress.
From illusion necklines to a-line skirts, Christos Bridal offered a very feminine and light lacy approach to their 2013 collection, no stiff structures here, it’s light, flowing and oh-so-pretty…
Strapless bodices continue to be among the most popular styles at Irish weddings, so the Christos Bridal 2013 wedding dress collection had plenty for Irish brides to smile about, whether you want a slimmer silhouette or a fuller a-line style with plenty of tulle.
This one could be quite a fave among 2012 brides me-thinks, lace is so popular at the moment, and the boat neckline with lace overlay is both covering (and a little warmer for Irish weather) and also so demure and feminine. Perfect for a bride who doesn’t want to go strapless but not cover up too much either.
A mini-peplum is bang on trend for 2012, while this layered embroidered tulle dress is a vision.
And finally, a personal favourite of this 2013 Christos Bridal collection, this delicate tulle overlay is embellished with embroidery and beading giving a lightness and almost ethereal quality, balanced by a really playful bodice and capped sleeves, that have a little of the nursery about them. To my mind a bit of a hipster wedding dress, but a designer one at that!
